Personal Experience: A Key Competency for Guides

For example, I have participated in nearly 100 guided ceremonies over the past decade, and these experiences have informed my practice far more than any single training could.

Due to the legal landscape, most programs cannot provide hands-on experience within the country. However, some programs include one or two ceremony experiences, often held outside the U.S. In Oregon, where psilocybin services are now legal, some programs offer hands-on experiences with personal journeys and opportunities to work with clients. These immersive opportunities are invaluable for building the skills, confidence, and understanding necessary to support others effectively.
