If you’re seeking transformation grounded in reverence, integrity, and personal sovereignty, this page is your invitation into the heart of how I serve.
Core Values & Ethical Principles
My work is guided by a robust code of ethics, shaped by personal commitment and affiliations with trusted organizations. These principles include:
Continuous Education - I remain engaged with the latest research and best practices to refine my skills and deepen my expertise.
Accountability and Feedback - I encourage open communication and provide clear avenues for clients to voice concerns or share feedback, fostering mutual growth and trust.
Prioritizing Safety - Every journey is conducted with thorough preparation, diligent risk management, and a steadfast focus on client well-being.
Commitment to Integrity - I uphold honesty, transparency, and alignment with the sacred responsibility inherent in this work.
Harm Reduction - I provide education on safe practices, including substance testing and sourcing, to empower clients to make informed decisions.
Cultural Sensitivity and Respect - Honoring the diverse traditions and histories of psychedelic use, I create an inclusive and supportive space for all individuals.
Safe & Responsible Sourcing
My practice operates under a strict No Medicine Included (NMI) policy. I do not supply, source, sell, share, recommend, or administer any psychedelic substances. I do not provide access to suppliers, dosage suggestions, or sourcing referrals. All decisions regarding entheogen use are made entirely by the client and must be pursued through independent, self-directed choice.
That said, when a client has clearly and autonomously chosen to engage with an altered state, through legal, spiritual, or ceremonial means, I may sit with them as a sacred companion, holding grounded, ethical space throughout their experience. This is not a service I initiate or encourage, but one I offer when a client’s decision is already made and when they are operating within a conscious framework of lawful and responsible practice.
My role is to:
Help clients prepare safely, with deep intention and emotional readiness.
Support clients in navigating the experience if invited and ethically appropriate.
Offer post-experience integration guidance across all domains of life.
For clients working with entheogens, safety must include:
Secure storage: All substances should be kept in a locked container under multiple locks, entirely out of reach of children, animals, and those not intended to access them.
Diversion control: Substances must never be left unattended or shared irresponsibly.
Relational care: I help clients consider the impact of their choices on others, especially loved ones in shared environments.
I do not facilitate illegal activity. I encourage all clients to understand their rights, including potential protections under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), and to consult legal counsel where necessary. I fully respect your constitutional right to spiritual and personal development, and my role is to support that process with integrity, not to direct its course.
Harm Reduction Resources
Sourcing: There are online, widely available sources; consider referencing from a reputable source, like one of Psychedelic Passage’s Safe and Responsible sourcing guides. Also, consider doing your research online or inquiring within your trusted community connections. For our mutual protection, I don’t provide substances. I can offer guidance on making safer, informed, and responsible decisions.
Testing: Guidance on using testing kits to verify substance purity and identity, minimizing risks. Available to support you in making safe and responsible decisions.
Storage: Store substances securely, following protocols similar to those for pharmaceuticals, alcohol, or firearms. Use a safe in a controlled environment with access restricted to authorized individuals to ensure safety and accountability.
Drug Testing
Drug testing kits are valuable tools for ensuring the safety and efficacy of psychedelics in therapeutic or religious practice. Reagent kits help identify substances and detect contaminants, while newer at-home potency testing kits, like Miraculix QTests, measure active ingredient concentrations in substances. These kits promote informed decision-making and harm reduction, though their legality varies by jurisdiction.
RFRA Protections & Religious Liberty
As a mushroom minister, I support individuals in the spiritual and personal use of entheogens as part of their sincere religious practice. Under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) of 1993, individuals in the United States may have the right to engage in sacramental practices, such as communion with psilocybin mushrooms, as an expression of their faith and spiritual path.
This right is grounded in the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which protects the free exercise of religion. RFRA further ensures that the government cannot substantially burden a person’s religious practice without a compelling interest and the least restrictive means. This legal framework is especially relevant for those seeking to work with entheogens in a context of spiritual growth, inner healing, and connection to the divine.
However, these rights are not absolute and are subject to interpretation by courts and evolving legal precedent. I am not an attorney, and nothing I offer should be considered legal advice. If you are seeking to understand or assert your religious rights under RFRA, I strongly recommend consulting with a qualified legal professional familiar with entheogenic spiritual practice and First Amendment protections.
Decriminalization & Legal Guidance
In Portland, Maine, where certain entheogenic plants and fungi have been locally decriminalized, I provide harm reduction services to support safe, informed, and intentional use. This includes education, preparation, ceremony integration, and spiritual companionship. I do not provide, procure, or distribute any controlled substances.
It is important to recognize that psilocybin and MDMA remain federally classified as Schedule I substances, meaning they are considered to have a high potential for abuse and no currently accepted medical use under federal law. While research is ongoing and legal reform is advancing, these substances are still illegal in most jurisdictions.
If you live in an area where entheogens are not decriminalized, I encourage you to either travel to areas like Portland for spiritual work or consider getting involved in local advocacy efforts. A valuable resource is Decriminalize Nature, a national grassroots movement offering tools to help individuals and communities reclaim their constitutional and spiritual rights through municipal decriminalization initiatives.
As with all aspects of this work, I operate with full respect for local, state, and federal laws, and I urge you to stay informed, exercise discernment, and seek legal guidance when appropriate.
Affiliations & Community Accountability
My ethical commitment is reinforced through affiliations with respected organizations :
Psychedelic Guide Network (PGN): A member of a collaborative community of practice.
MAPS Zendo Project: Sitting & Integration Psychedelic Care & Harm Reduction training.
Psanctuary: A trained minister dedicated to intentional practice with the mushroom.
Natural Medicine Maine: Member advocating to expand safe access to natural medicines.
Veterans Mental Health Leadership Coalition (VMHLC): Focused on mental health solutions for veteran PTSD by providing access to breakthrough therapies.
Psychedelic Passage: Previously one of 24 professionally vetted psychedelic guides within the nation's most respected referral network, known for its rigorous screening and strong medical community ties, I transitioned to private practice to offer more personalized support and reduce costs by eliminating referral fees.
Additionally, as a signer of the North Star Ethics Pledge, I am committed to fostering trust, promoting justice and equity, and prioritizing ethical processes alongside outcomes.
Confidentiality & Secure Communication
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of my practice, ensuring a private and respectful space for your transformation. Everything we share, spoken or written, recorded or reflected, is treated with sacred care and deep responsibility.
Secure Communications
I use the Homecoming app, a HIPAA-compliant, encrypted platform for all program-related communication, assessments, and personalized action plans. Although I am not a medical provider and thus not legally bound by HIPAA, I voluntarily choose to uphold HIPAA-compliant standards in all communication and data storage. This reflects my commitment to integrity, discretion, and the sacredness of your personal process. This ensures that your process is held within a secure, centralized space designed for healing, not extraction.
Consent to Recording
I do not record any session, ceremony, or conversation without your explicit, informed consent. Consent is never assumed. You may choose to give standing consent for our journey together, or decide on a session-by-session basis. You are always free to decline or withdraw consent at any time, no explanation needed. Your healing is never conditional on being recorded, and your sovereignty in this process is always respected.
Privacy Practices
All session discussions, ceremony details, and personal information are treated with strict confidentiality. I do not share, sell, or disclose any information without your clear written permission. If recordings or summaries are ever created, they are stored securely and used only for your benefit, never for public use or external analysis without explicit consent.
Location Disclosure
We discuss your ceremony location address only after the second prep session to maintain safety.
Focus on Breakthrough Therapies
My work primarily involves MDMA and psilocybin, which are FDA-designated Breakthrough Therapies for their effectiveness in addressing trauma, depression, and other mental health challenges. These substances have demonstrated profound potential for catalyzing healing and self-discovery, fostering deeper connections to self and present-moment awareness.
Mutual Commitment & Accountability
I hold myself to the highest ethical standards and expect the same from my team, collaborators, and clients. Together, we create a foundation of trust, respect, and shared responsibility for a meaningful and radically transformative journey.
The values expressed here are not just ideals, they are lived commitments. To learn how these ethics are woven into my practices around privacy, consent, and integration, visit the Privacy Policy.
