Psanctuary Maine Community at Maine Fungi Fest 24’

Extended Sacred Mushroom Church Community in Maine,

It is time for us to convene in person - to heal, share, and celebrate the sacredness of life together. This year, at Maine Fungi Fest (MFF) on 18-19 May 2024 in Portland, our Psanctuary Maine community will be coming together to serve the community in a big way. The theme we are bringing to MFF24’ is ‘Return of the Sacred.’ Please consider getting involved! Taking on a role as a leader, volunteer, speaker/presenter, and/or offering a donation toward our service for the festival.

As a sponsor in partnership with MFF24’, we will host an informative booth, and together we will be offering an outdoor dedicated wellness lounge area for festival participants to slow down, breathe, relax and recharge offering embodied practices/healing with lite refreshments and a hydration station. As well, we have our own large education hall for a couple dozen of our community members to present their unique knowledge as a talk, workshop, or engaged activity. We have Eric Osborne, co-founder of Psanctuary who will be flying in from Kentucky to join us to present a few topics, including a presentation on ‘History of sacred mushrooms throughout time,’ and will be leading a video booth & directive interviews on the topic ‘Psilocybin Says,’ to capture everyday people’s experiences with the sacrament. As well, Courtney McClure, co-founder of Psanctuary will offer lead a morning Sacred Mushroom Sunday Service in the main hall, and facilitate Women's circles (with mediation, journaling, authentic relating), and provide a presentation on ‘More than Micro-dosing’ (cultivating subtle sacrament practice). I’ll be offering a few topics as well, and invite you to share your gifts at MFF24’ while uplifting our shared theme, ‘Return of the Sacred,’ as it is more relevant than ever.

Consider engaging with us in fun, creative, and informative ways relative to effectively cultivating a sacred relationship with life; including our sacrament, the sacred mushroom.? You could offer how you cultivate, store, prepare, integrate, or sit in ceremony in a special way. What can you teach on how to heal relationships, relieve trauma, offer therapy, learnings as a practitioner, steward the earth, or serve your community? Are you a wellness practitioner, yoga teacher, breath worker, energy healer, or meditation instructor that can engage us in embodied practices for our health and wellbeing? We welcome others who feel called to let us know if you want to lead an embodied activity like a yoga class, hike, kayaking or community service project (i.e. feed local homeless.) Can you inform us of safety practices like mushroom diversion control, best practices in partaking, micro-dosing protocols, harm reduction services, legalities, advocacy, or any of the countless other ways we can bring more sacredness, integrity, and depth into all forms of relating?

If you are not called to facilitate or lead, we will need many volunteers to support all activities, including sharing more about our church offerings at our booth. We hope to have enough volunteers to be an assistance to the MFF24’ crew, in case they need extra support. Leaders providing an offering and volunteers who offer at least half a day of service will receive a complimentary festival ticket and a t-shirt in exchange for giving your energy and time to support our mission of service inspiring the ‘Return of the Sacred.’

Finally, we are also planning a Psilobration, a couple days before MFF24’, which is a celebration of life with our sacrament for church members, co-facilitated by founders of Psanctuary, Eric and Courtney along with our local Maine community. Space is limited to ~20 participants. An emerging medicine community is forming in Maine around the sacred mushroom and its future and our impact will be determined by how each of us show up.
